Frequently asked Questions

Do we really need a video when we already have a photographer?

If your parents or grandparents were given the opportunity to relive their wedding day and had a choice to see either photographs or a professionally produced video in full color with STEREO or DOLBY DIGITAL Surround sound, what would they choose?
At ProLine Productions, it's not only video captured with Digital 3CCD Broadcast Quality Cameras, we also offering STEREO or DOLBY DIGITAL 5.1 Surround sound recorded with hi-end Wireless Microphones and state-of-the-art Digital Audio/Video Production Equipment. We are able to provide you with a cinematic masterpiece that your family and friends will enjoy for generations.
What is the difference between High Definition and Standard Definition? Which is Better?

Image of your television has dozens of lines going horizontally across the TV screen. The amount of lines determines how sharp and clear the picture is to the person viewing it. The common television which is a square TV thats been around in homes for years and years has only 480 lines going across the television screen. The older TV's with 480 lines horizontally are called "Standard definition" or sometimes it is abbreviated as "SD". The newer televisions (HDTV's) that are more rectangular 16:9 movie theater shape and have just been around for a few years have 1080 lines horizontally and have a very sharp and clear picture. The newer televisions with 1080 lines Horizontally are called "High Definition" or abbreviated as "HD". The better choice is high definition for a clearer sharper TV picture and the HD format will be around for a very long time. Eventually High Definition Blu-ray Disc will replace Standard Definition DVD, this is why it's VERY important to have HD Wedding Video on Blu-ray Disc.
Why are you more expensive than some other videographers?

Whether or not you find our investments competitive depends on whom you are comparing us with. It also depends on what others will actually deliver for the price they may quote. Unfortunately it is fairly common to show a client a high end video sample and then sign them up for an inexpensive contract and deliver a video far inferior to what sample was shown and what a client expected. Remember you get what you pay for. Start with the best. Your video will indeed become priceless. Can you imagine having a cinematic love story of your grand parent's wedding day? What was your grandfather's reaction the first time he saw your beautiful young grandmother in her glorious dress?
Can I customize my own package?

Please do! Most of our couples add many options based upon their needs, desires and budgets. We want this to be as special for you as possible. Our packages are carefully designed each year from popular choices of recent brides. We have found that this helps tremendously to act as a wonderful starting point.
Our Packages/Options system is so flexible and allows YOU to create the price!
What does it mean "Full-day coverage"?

Our Traditional and Deluxe Packages never limit you on the number of locations or time of coverage (within reason, of course). Our main goal is to make you feel comfortable and provide you with best wedding video services available!
We start coverage on preparation and end it on your last dance!
Will those bright lights disturb my guests?

There is always a trade-off between the annoyance of a video light and the technical quality of the video produced. Good lighting equals good video. However, at a live event, the participants' comfort is equally important.
Photo Session - No additional lighting is neccessary
Ceremony - No additional lighting is neccessary
Reception - Available light varies greatly from room to room and according to time of day. To obtain professional results, experience and good judgement will determine the amount of lighting neccessary, especially in a darkened environment.
We will NEVER use any lights if you prefer to do so! ... Let us know ...
How do you keep your prices reasonable? Am I sacrificing quality?

NO, you save because we are not renting a storefront so the overhead is lower.
We are using Canon 3CCD Industrial High Definition Cameras and state-of-the-art Production Equipment such as SteadiCam (Camera Stabilization System) and Jib/Crane System to create cinematic shots you probably never seen before in Wedding Video. This is why we call them - Wedding Films
How long will it take to get my completed video?

This depends on the time of year. Weddings are extremely seasonal with 80% occurring on Saturdays in May through September. A tremendous amount of effort is involved in creating an exceptional video. Couples getting married in September and October seeing the longest waits to get their video. In fact, if all of your photos, music decisions and other ideas are turned in before the wedding, you can expect a 4-6 week turn around.
What if I have to cancel, what is the deposit refund policy?

Your deposit is refundable if we are able to obtain a replacement booking for your date. In the case of Postponement any deposit can be used towards new date if the date is available in our schedule.
